Connectors have a raised area to keep the aluminum balusters from touching the pressure treated wood. The new coated screws use a T20 fitting, which is an improvement over the phillips head version.

These were a little bit more difficult to install than the normal connectors given the angle and having to ensure the angle of your rails but all in all pretty good product.

The connectors where worth getting. They made the job easier. I thought the screws were a little soft.(they stripped easy) As long as you set the torque setting on the drill correctly it was not a problem.

Quality was nice but the only issue is that not every staircase is 45* steps which makes it slightly difficult to line everything up. Would be nice if you sold 35-40 and 45 degree connectors.

We didn’t realize you had to order double qty for top and bottom. Wish they would’ve caught that when we ordered. We had exactly half the amount of connectors for the amount of spindles we ordered at the same time. I also asked for a fedex tracking # via email and never received a response. I had to pay another $10.00 to order more connectors but other than that they are a nice product and easy to assemble. We are pleased with the purchase.

The only throwback is that the screw requires a #15 start driver bit. Knowing this, and possibly offering this bit as an option would be a plus.

These are as simple as they look and work very well. It takes a little practice to get them exactly where you want since they’re drilled at an angle. Experiment with the torque setting on your drill to get the screw just tight enough without stripping in the wood or other material.
